Time to face the music!
Yes, in playing against the experts, the only beat I am hearing at the moment is ......
YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR DEPTH, YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR DEPTH! Yes, I must face the facts - Five completed games, five losses with my best performance so far being "The Battle of the Wings". Well, my latest loss against Marinvusic is up for public consumption. After going into a set of exchanges I overlooked what would happen at the end of it, so yes, I really was out of my depth. But I will not give up. I am still willing to play Experts, but for the moment I must don the padded trousers (toughen up inside) so that the stick doesn't hurt.
Still, practice makes perfect and hopefully I will get better against 2000+ players in the end.
I thank everyone who has supported me and given me useful comments on my games - they may pay me dividends in the end.
Enjoy your weekend folks.
Bye for now.

FWIW, I find I learn the most from players rated 200-300 points higher. I tend to lose, but I'm usually able to see why.
The same is true in reverse. When I'm on the strong side, players more than 300 points weaker than I am usually can't give me much of a game.
